Francesco Morone (born June 6, 1956, Lanciano, Abruzzo, Italy) known as Franco Morone, is an Italian guitar player, teacher, composer and arranger specializing in fingerstyle technique. Author of CDs, books and videos playing his original music, traditional Italian, jazz / blues and Celtic. He performs concerts and teaching in Europe, United States and Japan. ==Biography== He started playing guitar at age 12 and published his first guitar method blues in 1986. Holds a degree in Law at the University of Bologna in 1987. Has worked as a journalist with the magazines ''Guitar Club'', ''Guitars'', and ''Acoustic Guitar'', and as a musician has played with Alex de Grassi, Beppe Gambetta, Peter Finger, Tim Sparks, and Leo Kottke. He performs solo and in duet with the singer Raffaella Luna. He has recorded for Ariola MBG, Carisch, Bèrben and currently produces his works with his own label Acoustic Guitar Records. The ''Acoustic Guita''r magazine call him “poet of the Italian acoustic guitar, he is a rare example of a musician with a personal and recognizable sound”. He performs his melodies with extraordinary sensitivity and provide an experience from the first listen. Chitarre magazine writes: "The listener with his music has the feeling of being able to travel anywhere with a handful of notes, taken by the hand by a warm and kind sound, full of gentle rhythms and original lines of counterpoint”.
